I am open to all cultures, religions, and spiritual beliefs.
I’m born and grown up in Germany and I moved to Portugal in the early 90th. It was “by chance” that I started as a wedding celebrant in 2008 and since than I developed my liking for it. It’s just such an amazing task to be able to fulfill in peoples lives. Since than I have done countless wedding ceremonies. .
Adding naming ceremony as well as funerals and memorial ceremonies to my list of services has been a choice inspired by personal life stories, that made me aware of how important and empowering it is to create a moments to recall, a place of connection in our heart.
Listening to the story that led to the moment of the ceremony is the base for creating the text and the way how it is presented.
Being emotionally present and using authenticity is for me by far more important than sticking 100% to a script.
I invite to connect and help create what is needed to be present with all the emotions that strike us in these situations in an appropriate measure without it becoming unbearable or overwhelming.
It is a great honour to be a celebrant and I am grateful for every experience I make.
